WANTED! Your Haddonfield Photos

The Haddonfield Lions Club is planning to publish a book titled Haddonfield’s Citizens of the Year: The First 50 Years (1973 to 2022).


The book committee is seeking a photograph for the cover – “the iconic Haddonfield photograph”– and invites amateur and professional photographers to submit images that are instantly recognizable as being associated with Haddonfield.


CONTEST RULES

AGE GROUPS: 1 Adult. 2 High school. 3 Middle/elementary school.

ENTRY FEE: There is no entry fee.

NUMBER OF IMAGES: Up to three images per entrant.

PHOTO FORMAT: Each image must be:

  • Made personally by the entrant

  • Color

  • High-resolution JPG

  • Portrait (vertical) orientation

  • 4:5 proportion (to potentially fill the book's 8” x 10” cover)

PHOTO IDENTIFICATION: Include name of entrant in image name. Example: "Haddonfield Sunrise_IMG0345_Smith.jpg"

ENTRY DEADLINE: Saturday, September 9 at 11:59:59pm.


JUDGES: Tom Gralish (Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer with The Philadelphia Inquirer), Debbie Troy (professional photographer and Lions Club member), and Bill Brown (Lions Club president).


PRIZES: One prize of $100 (Haddonfield gift card) will be awarded in each age group. If one of the three winning images is used on the cover of the book, its author will receive an additional $150 cash prize.

ACCEPTANCE OF RULES: By submitting one or more photographs in this contest, entrants agree to abide by these rules and to accept decisions of the judges as final. Winning entrants agree to assign the copyright in their winning mages to the Haddonfield Lions Club, which may use, but does not commit to using, any or all of the winning images in its Citizen of the Year book and/or elsewhere.
