Lions Install New Eyeglass Donation Box in Kings Court

Shen Shellenberger

Lions Club President Joyce Albrecht with New Donation Box in Kings Court

The Haddonfield Lions Club has set up a new eyeglass collection box in Kings Court.

All types of used adult and children's eyeglasses - readers, sunglasses, prescription and non-prescription glasses - are gratefully accepted. Upon collection, the glasses are sent to the Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center in Trenton where they are cleaned, labeled with the right prescription, stored and packaged. These glasses are distributed to those in need locally as well as internationally - and the need is great. There is also a collection box at the Haddonfield ACME.  Over 1.2 million pairs are handled each year at the recycling center.

The Lions Club is a charitable organization where 100% of money raised goes to charities that benefit those with blindness and other visual impairments.  The Club also donates to community organizations in our region.
