The Haddonfield Lions Club is seeking nominations for the 2024 William G. Hansen Youth of the Year Award. The award was created to honor Bill Hansen, who was a Lions Club member for more than 60 years and served in numerous ways, always putting others before himself.

Nominees must be high school students who live in Haddonfield or attend Haddonfield High School. and are dedicated volunteers in the community or their school. We want to honor students with empathy for others, strong leadership skills, and who spend their time helping others. Young people can also nominate themselves.

Send completed applications to Ellen Ragone at ellensragone@gmail.com or by mail to Heather Lacy, Haddonfield Public Library, 60 N. Haddon Ave, Haddonfield, NJ, 08033, no later than December 22, 2023.

Print and electronic applications will be accepted.

The winners will be recognized with a plaque and will receive a cash prize at the Mayor's Breakfast and Citizen of the Year celebration on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Tavistock Country Club.
